Awarded the EU Ecolabel
On January 20, 2026, the big day finally arrived: In Stuttgart, we were honored to receive an award that is particularly close to our hearts—the EU Ecolabel, the European Union’s official eco-label for accommodation providers.
This makes us part of a select group: We are the first hotel in Rhineland-Palatinate and the fifth in all of Germany to meet the rigorous criteria of this Europe-wide certification.
But what exactly does that mean?
The EU Ecolabel is an environmental label based on scientifically sound criteria that recognizes businesses that demonstrate above-average performance in the areas of environmental protection and resource conservation. It evaluates the entire life cycle of a hotel operation—from energy and water consumption to waste management, procurement, cleaning, and employee training.
Was bei uns längst Standard ist:
– 100 % Ökostrom aus erneuerbaren Quellen
– Energiesparende LED-Beleuchtung im gesamten Haus
– Intelligente Steuerung von Heizung und Klimaanlagen
– Wassersparende Armaturen
– Einkauf ausgewählter regionaler und fair gehandelter Produkte
Additional initiatives we have implemented:
– Waste sorting options for guests
– Systematic monitoring of our resource consumption
– Training sessions to raise awareness among our team
– Expansion of our environmental management system

The certification process was intensive, detailed, and took several months to complete. Many departments were involved—from facilities management to housekeeping. It was a true team effort, during which we re-evaluated and further developed our sustainability strategy.
We are proud of this award—and even more so of the dedication of our entire team, which made this award possible in the first place.
