The working time model for more life-work balance
We are introducing the voluntary 4-day week.
As of June 1, the 4-day week will be introduced. Voluntarily, of course. Anyone who likes can continue to work five days a week. The idea is not new, but is extremely rarely implemented in Germany. We at the supermarket-themed hotel are tackling it!
The system allows our employees to find their individual life-work balance. More time available for friends, family, hobbies or further education. Spontaneously going on vacation for a long weekend, visiting an amusement park outside the usual rush hours, or going to the doctor with a sick family member. An extra day off during the week provides the opportunity for all of this. If you only drive to work four times a week, you cut your travel costs by 20%. Especially in times of high energy prices, this is a nice effect.
We are also pioneers within the industry. "With the 4-day week, employees can decide for themselves which working time model suits them best. We are sure that a good life-work balance also works in our industry.
Together, flexible and creative"
With the 4-day week, we are entering new territory in the hotel and catering industry; there is no blueprint. We are testing the concept for the entire industry! The feasibility depends on the interaction of the whole team. Together we are strong!
Unfortunately, our trainees are excluded from the option due to vocational school and the maximum permitted working time of 8 hours per day. However, as is well known, anticipation is the best joy and the prospect of more life-work balance. If you stay in the company, the 4-day week can be implemented immediately after the training.
